Andhra Pradesh: rising anti-Christian violence by radical Hindus

Sajan George, national president of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), sounds the alarm bells. Fundamentalist group Hindu Vahini is of particular concern. In mid-January, one of its members stabbed to death an evangelical clergyman. According to the GCIC leader, anti-Christian violence is likely to become "more brutal" as India's general elections approach.


A Christian Arrested in Andhra Pradesh for Teaching Bible to Christian Students

Ramagundam, Adilabad Dt. Andhra Pradesh - 12-02-2013: On Sunday 10th February 2013, Mr. Anand Rao, 40, an Employee of National Thermal Power Corporation in Ramagundam in Andhra Pradesh, visited the campus of Indian Institute of Information Technology on an invitation from some of the Christian students there. He was teaching Bible to the Christian students at about 2.30 in the after noon.


Sewage water flowing into the Holy Trinity Church compound at Chikoti Garden in Begumpet.

The Holy Trinity Church at Chikoti Gardens in Begumpet has been inundated with drain water leaving the visitors fretting.For the past two days, the parking place at the church compound has turned into a cesspool.If water level increases in the next few days, then the church structure constructed in 1983 in 1.5 acres, could get affected, fears parish priest Father Valentine D’Mello.He said water from Kukatpally-Hussainsagar nala gushes into the church premises during monsoon and causes problems.
