North East Manipuri boy found dead in Acharya NRV school-A victim of racial attack?

The death of a 19-year-old North East Manipuri boy under suspicious circumstances in his college hostel in Bangalore has sparked protests demanding justice for the student with his friends and family alleging that that he suffered fatal injuries in an assault by his seniors.Richard LoitamLoitam, a second semester student of the Acharya NRV School of Architecture in Bangalore North, was found dead on his hostel bed on the afternoon of April 18.

The Karnataka governor has assured Christians in the southern Indian state that their places of worship will be safeguarded and protected.“Harming minority communities’ places of worship was akin to harming the constitution,” Hansraj Bhardwaj yesterday said while addressing a public reception organized as part of the 27th assembly of the National Council of Churches in India, (NCCI), in Bangalore.

Bangalore police arrest Pastor Victor Babu for conducting summer bible class in Hebron church

Bangalore: Radical Hindus staged a protest in front of the Hebron Church near Marathahalli here Thursday(19th April) demanding action against a pastor for his alleged attempt to convert schoolchildren forcibly.The Mahadevapura police intervened to defuse the situation and detained Victor Babu (31), the pastor, for questioning. Victor is from Dharmavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
