The organisation, formed after the July 11 incident in Una where four Dalit youths were beaten up by cow vigilantes, has decided to take its agitation to the next level having convinced the community members across the state not to pick up the carcases of the dead animals.

Angry protests by Dalits across Gujarat singed Narendra Modi’s home town of Vadnagar on Friday when 4,000 Dalits held a massive demonstration blaming the prime minister and BJP for the brutal thrashing of four Scheduled Caste men.
Four Dalit men were chained to a car, stripped and beaten up by cow protection vigilantes in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district, police said on Tuesday.
The attack took place on Monday. A video purportedly recorded by the attackers and shared online shows the four men chained to a car and being beaten with iron rods.
The victims, belonging to a Dalit community at Mota Samadiyara village of Una taluka, claimed that they were skinning an already dead cow, but the six accused said the animal was killed before being skinned, police said.
