Days before the court pronounces its verdict in the Ayodhya land title suit, the Centre has asked all state governments — Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka in particular — to heighten their security preparedness to deal with any law and order problems that may erupt after the verdict.

New Delhi: Global council of Indian Christians(GCIC)today condemned the plan by the pastor of a small Florida church to burn copies of the Quran
to mark the 9/11 attacks and called on US authorities to take 'strong action' to prevent such an 'outrage' being committed.And protect the christians and other non Muslims facing persecution ,attacks and similar mindless actions against scriptures
GCIC while deploring Pastor Terry Jones's move to burn copies of Islam's holiest text on September 11 also urged the members of Muslim community and Indian media to exercise 'great restraint to help maintain peace and harmony.
This year Eid is being celebrated along with festival of Ganesh Chaturti GCIC wishes them Peace and Joy on the Religious Festivals.
GCIC prays that people of all Faiths peaceful co exist and work towards building India where every citizen are treated Equally and enjoy Religious Freedom.
