Name: Veera Lexmi, Thovalai (Anju Kiramam), Kanyakumari Dist, she has vanished around 10days. It came to know that she has been raped n murdered. Someone called her while she was coming back from prayer meeting, to come and pray at their home. Then they took her to a deserted place, raped and murdered by smashing her a boulder.

Pastor S. Suresh Rajan of Vivekanandapuram A.G. Church has been serving for the past 12 years. He has a thached roof shed where 300 believers assemble for worship. They bought a plot and built a Community Hall. When the Pastor sought permission form Sri S. Nagarajan, the District Collector to allow them to worship in the newly built community hall, he refused permission. Therefore, the agreived members of the church filed a writ in the Madurai High Court on 7-6-2012. Hearing them, Justice K. Venkatarajan gave the verdict that within 8 weeks the District Collector should give permission for the change of worship place. Two of the respondents were the Superintendent of Police and the Revenue Divisional Officer have also given their consent for the change of worship place. Pressurised by the local Hindu radicals, the District Collector declined to give permission and asked the church to appeal to the Home Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Government. Now the church is left with no other option than to challenge the District Collector's order in the High Court.

On August 13, 2012, in a village named West Parasery of Chumkamkadi post in Kanyakumari District (about 8kms from Nagarkoil), this unfortunate incident happened. Two duaghters, Orsilal (25) and Jhansi (22), of P. Ruth (44), were standing outside their home and talking. Around 9.30 p.m. their neighbours for no rhyme or reason began to intimidate the two sisters right infront of their home. Being embarrased, the sisters went into their home. About 15 men, led by Suresh, Sukumar and Selvam barged into their home and beat both the daughters and the mother mercilessly. They even disgraced the ladies by pulling their hair, knocking their heads to the walls and even kicking them. All three ladies were so badly beaten that they were not only bruised but began to bleed as well. The women had the presence of mind to immediately call the Ambulance. They were taken to the Thuckalay Government Hospital. After some emergency treatment they were shifted to the Asaripallam Medical College where they are still undergoing treatment for the last 15 days. The miscreants also took away a gold chain and a video camera from the house.

Kanyakumari , Tamil Nadu: (28-06-12) - The BJP and RSS activists, numbering about 15, barged into the church, the Bathel Paryer House, located at Messavalar Colony in Kesavan Puthur Village in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu on 20th June 2012 at about 6 in the evening. In their frenzy, they destroyed all the furniture and other church equipments lying inside the church. They also abused and beat up the pastors and some believers, falsely alleging them that they have been involved in forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity. Pastor David (45), and Assistant Pastor Babu (38), were admitted to the Thakkli Government Hospital for 5 days and were discharged on 25th June 2008. Another believer was also admitted to the same hospital and he was there for two days.
