Pastor Kadur Devaki and Lalithama arrested and jailed

Chickmaglur-Kadur (Karnataka state)On Sunday, June 6th, a group of RSS members, accompanied by local police, disrupted the regular Sunday morning worship service at Jesus Prayer Team in Bovi Colony, Chickmanglur District, Karnataka. At 10:30 am, the service was stopped and the two pastors were threatened and accused of creating communal disharmony and disrupting the peace. The police arrested the pastors, Lalithamma (62 years old) and Kadaur Devaki (28 years old). They were interrogated for four hours by the kadur police. They are currently in Hassan jail awaiting their trial.
The police officers under pressure from the local MLA is believed to have foisted false charges under IPC 295 A against the helpless women

GCIC slams the continuous Anti Christian Bigotry in Karnataka

On 26th May, the grotto of Mother Rosario was damaged in Majalubettu in Pilar village, within the jurisdiction of Shirva police station Udupi.
The left and right hands of the statue in the grotto as well as the protective glass covering had been shattered in the incident
GCIC states that in spite of all the reassurance of protection given by the State Administration, Christian Places of Worship continue to be Desecrated and Damaged.

RSS threatens to shut Sunday Worship in Hassan district
RSS group alleged Pastor for forced conversion activities on 27th May 2010 at Rajanpura village, Hassan district.
RSS leader Mr. Manjunath Shastry and the group of 20 people barged into Pastor Siddanagowda Barmanagowda’s house and alleged of forced conversion activities and complained to Hiriseve Police Station. The radicals threatened the pastor with dire consequences if he continues to conduct worship service. Pastor was taken to the police station and warned him not hold any prayer and asked him to move away from this place.

Pastor H B Siddanagowda Barmanagowda (45) is a native of Bevanahalli village, Davangere district is ministering under Karnataka Evangelical Association (KEA) since one year. Pastor is married Shantamma (40) and are blessed with two sons Madhusudan (21) and Harish Gowda (19).
