Delhi church stoned, panic spreads among Christians : GCIC condemns desecreation

New Delhi
Unidentified persons threw stones at Our Lady of Fatima Forane Church Jasola, near Okhla in south Delhi, when some 200 people were attending Mass and novena inside the church. The one-year-old church belongs to the Faridabad Syro-Malabar diocese.
Narrating the Jasola incident, Parish priest Fr. Jacob Nagelimalil ,said that he was conducting the Mass when a stone hit one of the windows and broke its glass. “The glass pieces fell inside the church, not the stone,” he said.
“This is the second such incident happening in a week,” bemoaned Archbishop Kuriakose Bharanikulangara of Faridabad, who rushed to Jasola on hearing the news.
