'Evicted Christian families getting no help from Pak govt'

Four Christian families forced to leave their homes in Pakistan's Punjab province after a member of the minority community married a Muslim woman are yet to get any help from authorities in their efforts to resettle in their hometown.

London, England: A Pakistani Christian man Cedric Sunil Kenneth has been reportedly kidnapped by the extremists two months ago, but the news kept secret until last night as the family spokesperson Rev. Yousaf Sabir broke the silence by sharing the emotional news on Glory TV's Awam Show with Taskeen Khan.
"The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 20 lakh of Pakistani rupees, about £11,700, and not accepting the demand, they have threatened the family to handing over Cedric Sunil Kennet to the Pakistani Taliban", told Rev. Yousaf Sabir.
He added: "We appeal to the entire Christian community to pray for Cedric's safety and release".

Christian woman brick kiln worker, namely Ms.Salamatay Bibi 48 years age,
Aziz Masih her son, Arshad Masih alias Papu, and two others, were
"brutally beaten along with their families including women, and children"
by local brick kiln owner and six "unknown" persons, and later were
forcibly taken to Brick Kiln of Rang Baig "with the threat of weapons."
The witnesses of the brutality said that the brick kiln owner and others had
"beaten them with heavy clubs and sticks and hung them on the front side of
wall of a house.
