The guidelines were delivered during the hearing of a case of alleged 'love jihad' by the division bench of Jodhpur High Court.Rajasthan High Court on Friday charted out stringent guidelines for religious conversion through marriage in the state.In the hearing of a petition on love jihad filed by one Chirag Singhvi, the division bench comprising of Justices Gopalkrishna Vyas and Vineet Mathur issued a ten-point guideline to be followed by those seeking religious conversion.

The militants raided the home of a private citizen, accusing those present of forced conversions. Pentecostal pastor and the owner of the house arrested, later released. Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC): "Ironic that the police, which by law has the duty to protect citizens, accompanied the fundamentalists".

Rajasthan’s BJP government has directed all state-run and private schools to introduce “Surya Namaskar” and yoga in morning assemblies for secondary and senior secondary classes.

A new circular issued by the school education department has provided a clear-cut definition of the activities to be performed during the morning assembly for secondary and senior secondary students.

The order is applicable to about 48,000 schools, of which 28,000 are state-run.The circular has asked morning assemblies to be extended by 20 minutes and include singing of the national song Vande Mataram and the national anthem besides “Surya Namaskar” and yoga.
