forced religious conversionA pastor is an ordained leader of a Christian congregation. Police later rescued the duo, pastor Ramlal Kori and his friend Nandlal Kori, from Gadra Mohalla of Pahadi village in Mauganj police station area, and admitted them to a hospital.


Christians chase Bajrang Dal activists indulged in disruption of Easter service at Kanpur

Kanpur: A group of Christians allegedly attacked Bajrang Dal actvists at Nagla Ram Singh in Ouncha village of Mainpuri district on Sunday. They had gone to the village to verify facts related to alleged conversion going on at a house there. As many as nine members of the saffron outfit received injuries.Santosh Jatav had allegedly converted to Christianity about two years ago. On Sunday, an Easter feast was going on at his house in Nagla Ram Singh in Ouncha village.According to reports, a group of more than 12 men arrived in three SUVs in the village after receiving reports about alleged conversion ceremony underway at the house of Sanjay Jatav and raided Sajnajay's home.
Police said a group of men under the leadership of district convener of Bajrang Dal Sushil Yadav reached the house of Santosh Jatav. "Accompanied by village head, they started inquiring about the alleged conversion at the house of Jatav. The supporters of Jatav chased the members of saffron outfits, when they assembled in front of his house," police said.


Woman alleges abduction, forcible marriage to Bajrang Dal activist

MANGALORE: A woman from Elyarpadavu, about 15km from here, who had married a Bajrang Dal activist, filed charges of abduction and attempt to outrage the modesty of a woman against several Dal activists. She also alleged that Jagadeesh Shenava, president, Mangalore district unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, had threatened to harm her parents if she didn't marry the activist.
Vivita D'Souza (Also known as Sonia) daughter of Patrick D' Souza from Eliyarpadav is the complainant.

The complainant in her twenties, who married Rajesh Shetty on October 16 at the Arya Samaj here, complained to Konaje police that she was drugged and coerced into the marriage.
