The man, identified as Kamran Yunus Siddiqui, was restrained by Ramdev's supporters and badly beaten up resulting in loss of teeth and bloody lip before the police arrested him.

Launching a scathing attack on yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Indian Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday accused of eliciting full support of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its front organisations in going ahead with his anti-corruption campaign.He said that Baba Ramdev’s Bharat Swabhiman Trust had got the support of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (of the RSS) as well as that of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), student wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Home Minister also cautioned the yoga guru against raising an armed wing, saying the law would firmly deal with it.
Haridwar/New Delhi, Jun 8 - Threatening an armed rebellion, yoga guru Ramdev today said he will raise a 11,000 force that will be trained to retaliate if authorities crackdown on their anti-corruption campaign, evoking a stern response from the Government which termed it "anti-national".The peace activists consider the call of armed rebellion against state is very similar to the Maoists movement in India.Ramdev's call for armed rebellion is dubbed as the "saffron terror" to usurp the democratic institutions to resurrect the pipe dream of a theocratic state in India.
