GCIC celebrates Indian Christian Martyrs’ Day” 29th August ...The blood of the martyr is the seed of Christianity".
GCIC remember all Christians who have sacrificed their life for the love of Christ, ever since St. Thomas, the Apostle
Indian Christians are just 3% of the population and so many places in Secular India, the minority Christians community continue to suffer for their faith.
Those who died for the sake of Christ are the real heroes of Christianity.
It has an historical value that the generations to come would remember them, as we remember the martyrs of the past.
Through this the Indian Church will begin to grow and Indian Christian will life their faith with commitment and dedication to our Lord.
