KG Markose released from detention in Saudi-India Republic Day celebration

DAMMAM- Well-known singer KG Markose, who was arrested in Dammam, released from Khatif jail an hour ago.

He was detained, along with seven other organisers, as they were not taken permission from officials concerned to conduct the music program. Here in the Gulf, it is a must to take prior approval from authority for any gatherings.Markose arrived here on Friday to attend a concert as part of India Republic Day celebrations.

‘The detention was due to a wrong information from a Malayalee organisation to the authority here, it was a ‘Para‘, sources added.

Markose, a known singer in Kerala, has visited almost all the Gulf countries several times in the past .

The feud, due to ego clashes, is very common among Keralite organisations in the Gulf.
