Pastor detained in Doni village, Gadag distrct Karnataka

Pastor Mallikarjuna Sangalad aged 36 years belonging to Indian Pentecostal Church, started a worship in Doni village. The worship is conducted in a shed belonging to one of the believer Mr Nagaraj.
There are about 60 believers participating in the worship. The service is conducted on every Sunday from 7.30 pm to 9.pm.

On 5th September at about 8.30 pm A group of Hindu radicals numbering about 100 people led by Mr. Anand belonging to the of RSS forcefully entered the worship place ,diseupted the worship, dragged Pastor Mallikarjuna out ,abused and beaten the pastor. They also tore the cloths of the pastor and snatched and tore Bibles.

The group then informed Mundargi police station. The police reached the post and verbally attacked the pastor and instructed him to not to continue the worship in the house as the pastor has not obtained a valid permission.
In the mean time GCIC got in touch with police and impressed upon the police release the pastor as he has not done any crime.
The police then taken an undertaking from the pastor and left him with out registering any complaint.
