Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II of Antioch and All East – visited Iraqi refugee camps
Beirut: Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II of Antioch and All East – Primate of the Universal Syria Orthodox church visited Iraq for the third time. The Patriarch met with several Christian leaders, in particular wirh Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan of the Syriac Catholic Rite (Eastern UNIATE Rite in communion with the Roman Catholic Church) and faithful and also visited many refugee camps.
He spend time with the inmates of the refugee camps of the displaced Christians from Mosul and the Nineveh Plains in camps in Iraqi Kurdistan. Patriarchal Divine Liturgy was celebrated with the participation of large number of people.
