The Villagers in M.P. Stop the Police from Arresting a Pastor.

Khargone (Madhya Paradesh): Pastor Veersingh Kalesh (26) was conducting a meeting on 31.08.11 in a village called Khamkheda about 10 kilometers from the city of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. About 15 people from the village were attending the meeting. As the meeting was going on, the head of a Hindu group called Gayatri Samaj, came to the meeting place and asked the pastor to stop the meeting and also not to set his foot again in the village as the people of his community too were attending his meeting and getting brain-washed by his teaching. Then, without any further discussion, he complained to the police at the Khamkheda Police Station falsely alleging that the pastor is converting his people to Christianity and that they must arrest him.

In response to his complaint, soon 6 police constables appeared at the meeting place and were about to arrest the pastor. However, the villagers stopped the police from arresting him and told them that he is a good man, and that he is only preaching them good news and showing them the real power of God and also that the people in the village are blessed. Even after listening to what the villagers had told them about the pastor, they took him to the Khamkheda Police Station along with the Gayatri Samaj head. In the police station Pastor Veersingh told the police in very clear terms that he has not converted anybody and neither is he interested in converting anyone. He is merely telling the villagers about the good news as preached by Jesus, and further, that the people are also blessed by the message of Jesus Christ. The Police, however warned the pastor and firmly told him not to visit that village again and with that warning they let him free.

Pastor Veersingh Kalesh is working with Philadelphia Church Udaipur. He is married to Jhataibai (23), and has two children, an 8 year old son, and a 3 year old daughter. Please pray for him.
