Brother Mohan C Thomas of Bhilai who was beaten up few days back by the radicals of Bajrang dal people and the meeting tent, dais and car was burnt in Bhotli Village.

Yesterday at around 4:00 pm the Police arrested Bro. Mohan C Thomas and filed a case under section 188 and 34. He is still in the custody at Guroor Police station.

BACKGROUND:-

This incidence took place yesterday( 16.1.2008) in a village called Bhothli which is around 55kms from Durg Bhilai Chattisgarh State.

Three days prayer meeting on 15th to 17th January 2008 was held by Bro Mohan C Thomas 55yrs old who is an Independent Evangelist from Bhilai. The morning session was over and in the evening at about 4.00 p.m. suddenly two Matador trucks came to the venue with 60 radicals and they got down from the trucks menacingly and they had sticks in their hands and some had knives too but they did not use the knives.

They rushed to the meeting place, got hold of Brother Mohan C Thomas, and started beating him badly. He was beaten with big sticks and then they burned the tent, dais and chairs they even burned a Fiat Car and a Honda bike.

Brother Mohan C Thomas was already been warned that some radicals might come and disturb the meetings so he intimated the police but they didn
