Sangh Parivar Mobs have taken over Kandhamal, there are blatant human rights violations, and Christian property is being ransacked, looted, destroyed and burnt

Mrs. Nivedita, Miyar Cuttack gave an inflammatory speech saying the Christians have killed the Swami Laxanananda Saraspati and his associates. Other leaders also were giving slogans that "Kill the Christians and destroyed the institutions of Christians."

The diabolic forces of evil have once again raised its ugly head against the Christian Community in Kandhamal District, GCIC has petitioned the District Collector to provide security for this vulnerable Christian community.

Regional Superior Sister Suma of Congregation of Missionaries of Charities said that MC sister of Dharmgard were going to participate Sunday mass, on their way to the parish they were blocked on the way and some of the youth who were protesting through stones to the vehicle, the glasses of the vehicle broken, they were also protected by the public and sent back to the convent. They are safe and no injury caused them.

The number of anti Christian violence in the last twenty-four hours reveals the intentions to annihilate the Christians from Kandhamal. Most of the Christians have left their home and have gone to the forest. They are frightened and can not predict what will happen to their life and property

More than Three Thousand Sangh Parivar extremists marched in the funeral procession of Swamiji. 144 is in force, yet police are mute spectators, as the Christian institutions are being attacked.

Bikram Digal and Willium Digal –two believers have been detained by the Nuagaon Police. Radicals have planed knives and black masks (Naxalite gear) on them and dragged them to the police

Tumudibandha, Raikia, Balliguda, Nuagaon, Phiringia, Khajuripara, Tikabali, G. Udayagiri, Chakapada, Daringbadi and many other areas of Kandhamal District are extremely volatile.

With GCIC intervention to the CM, assurances have been given to Dr Sajan George, that 6 Platoon Force, 2 I.Gs and 2 D.I.Gs have been sent there to control the situation. More 4 platoon forces have been asked from the Center for this matter. The Chief Minister has declared for a judicial inquiry into the said matter.

GCIC has first hand information of the Anti Christian Violence since Saturday

1. Phulbani Main Catholic and Baptist Church RCC Building ransacked and destroyed this morning.

2. 10 Shops belonging to Christians ransacked and destroyed at Raikia

3. 25 Christian houses burnt at Rupagaon, Christens flee into the forest to save their lives

4. Christians shops at Paburia burnt

5. Churches razed to the ground at Adaskupa and Sulesaru Churches

Christians are hiding in the forests, the trauma of the Dec '07 riots are being relived. The Women and children are starving there without food and water. Armed Radicals roaming on the village roads

6. Benagaberi village Church and believers houses are burnt

7. In Phulbani town Amlapada street, the radicals are destroying the Christian houses. Bro Arup Jena, Journalist PTI's Mobike has been burnt along with few others in the neighboring houses in the mid night.

8. Danguli's village Church and Christian houses have been destroyed this morning.

9. Lahabadi Church and Day Care Center have been burnt this morning.

10. Rashimundi Church burnt this morning.

11. Keredi village Christian houses completely destroyed this morning.

12.Kambaguda village Church and Pastor's house destroyed this morning.

13.Tikabali Tengeda padar village Church and Christian houses totally destroyed at midnight Yesterday.

OTHER DISTRICT ATROCITIES REPORTED TILL NOW

1. Dumerguda village JEL Church and two nearby prayer houses at Talsara, Tentulipada, Sundergarh hve been burnt few hours just after the death of Swamiji. Other Churches are on Police guard now on GCIC's request.

2. At Chiplima, Sambalpur Pastor S.P. Muna has been severely beaten in the midnight and his Moike has been burnt.
3. Mission India slum Churches were attacked from this morning and the radicals were trying to destroy and on report, GCIC immediately arranged Police guard and requested the concerned IIC of the Police station who visited the spot and deployed Police force and ousted the tormentors from that place.
