Orissa Persecution slides
INDIA’S north-eastern state Orissa continues to be in grip of gory anti-Christian riots. Scores of Christians, including some nuns have been burnt alive. Countless churches, houses and shops have been gutted. Even Christian orphanages have not been spared. To justify massacre of hapless Christians, Hindus spread the canard that eminent Hindu leader, Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, had been killed by Christians on Saturday night. Kandhamal district was the epicentre of the communal riots. Most of the Christians were killed there. In the village Barakhama Hindus attacked Christian dwellings with guns and bombs.

- Torturing Christians into falsely confessing to crimes, or torturing them to make false accusations against other communities
- Torturing Christians in an attempt to have them renounce their faith
- The destruction of buildings used for worship or prayer meetings
- The confiscation of Bibles and other religious materials
- The beating of Christians by police and government officials

Its Sad to see these attacks on Christian Belivers. May The Lord Jesus Forgive them. The religion is Inherited by us as we are born from our mothers womb.Our religion depends in which family we are born in!God is not religious and he Loves us.We are all sinners and to deserve to die for our sins as punishment. But because of Gods Love and Mercy Jesus Came down to Earth and Died for our sins and took our Punishment upon himself ...So that we can have Eternal Life....Its Free for anyone who accepts Jesus and asks him for the forgiveness....No conversion except your hearts and Dosen't matter of your religion.Earth is not our home permanently and we all have to face the Death..Where would you like to spend your Eternity? The world and its people won't be truly free until all religion, without exception, is relegated to our primitive and barbaric past.
Why do all you people continue to believe such superstitious nonsense? You're just delaying any possible progress of the human race. Realize that we're all humans, on one tiny planet circling a minor star, at the edge of a minor galaxy in an infinite universe. We're here by chance, and marvellous tho that may be, if we don't all learn to live together, then we'll surely all die together, in the firey nuclear embrace of involuntary brotherhood- the end of our species.
The so called holy books are scams, the prophets just wandering lunatics who probably should have been getting whatever psychiatric treatment was available at the time. That people today murder each other because of one ludicrous belief or another- beliefs that no sensible six year old could see any sense in, just boggles the mind.
Stop this nonsense before you destroy us all.

In consideration of the earth's population, past & present, your view is in such a minority that the proportions are preposterous. 99:1 would give far too much credit to your unfounded, non-supportive, totally biased and non-objective personal opinion. It is analogous to saying man has never actually ventured into space flight or that the earth is in fact the center of our universe in contradiction to scientific evidence. Think about it my friend. Why would you think you are right and everyone else is wrong? Is this not the highest form of arrogance, ignorance, and egotism? ARE there not clinical descriptions for such persons? Perhaps you listen to John Lennon's dope induced "Imagine" once too often. This is not to belittle you but to challenge you to consider what you are advocating. You are indeed correct that religion is not the solution to man's problems. Only a life changing Relationship with the living person of God's one & only Savior Son, Jesus the Christ, is. Seek Him and He shall be found. Think about it. Jesus said, "I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly".

Bill, Sir, you are entitled to your belief, but you are persecuting us believers for our belief with your words. How can you speak this way, and think that your method will promote any type of freedom? It seems to me the very way you have spoken about those of us who have faith, is part of the problem, along with your unbelief.

I'm sorry you are so adamant against those of us who have faith. I will never give up my faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. This is having a personal relationship with the living GOD, it is not religion.
It sure seems to me it would make more sense to believe, and then find out after death, that you were wrong; rather than to not believe and not have ANY hope before you die. Your way is total hopelessness. I disagree with your thinking and concept of life and human beings. All of mankind and is depraved, this includes you and I. Jesus Christ made it right with His shed blood on the cross, this made the way to GOD possible for all mankind. I was like you at one time (an unbeliever), but Praise God...He opened my heart and eyes to believe.
I know you don't believe the Bible, but I do and it tells me in Rom. 14:11 "For it is written, 'as I live, says the LORD (GOD), EVERY knee shall bow to ME. And EVERY tongue shall give praise to GOD.'" (New American Standard Version). There will come a time...even you will bow to our LORD, GOD, KING OF KINGS.

INDIAN MINORITY FRONT
National Level ‘Political Party’ for Minorities
With the objective of protecting, ensuring and fighting for the fundamental rights of the minorities in India , a new national level political party was formed here yesterday. The organized attacks on minorities in different parts of India , the silence from the part of major secular political parties and the failure of central and state governments in taking action against the culprits have led to the formation of a party for minorities, said sources.The new political party will function with the name “Indian Minority Front” until it gets recognition from the Election Commission.
The party formation meeting held in YMCA, New Delhi , condemned the recent attacks on Christians in Orissa and Karnataka and expressed its serious concern over the inability of the central and state governments in ensuring justice for the victims. The meeting decided to fight against the politically motivated attacks on minorities from the part of Bajringdal and Sanghparivar. With regard to the recent bomb blasts and terrorist activities in different parts of the country, the meeting observed that, it is unfortunate to blame the entire Muslim community for the inhuman activities of the anti social elements. It also condemned the election oriented policies of the central government in taking actions against the organizations behind the recent attacks on minorities in different parts of the country.
The meeting was attended by delegates from different sates and it elected Mr. Rajiv Joseph (Kerala) as the National President, Mr. Krupavaram Nelapudi (Andhra Pradesh) as National General Secretary and Mr. Alaric Anurag Lal as National Treasurer. It also decided to form committees in the state, district, panchayath and ward levels.

This breaks my heart to see this happening in idia. I'm from Minnesota which is in the USA. I was looking at current issues for my youth, so we can pray for them. We are a combination of Methodist and Alliance youth members. And I went to a link that brought me here. As brothers and sisters in christ we will surely help in prayer. You will be in our prayers.
