IS-inspired terror module busted, six held in south Indian state of Kerala

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested six members of a fresh terror module, allegedly inspired by the Islamic State (IS), a senior NIA official said.Five suspects were arrested when they assembled on a hilltop at Kanakamala in Kannur district of Kerala to plan their next move, said the NIA official.The other accused was arrested from Kuttiyadi in Kozhikode district.

A French journalist infiltrated a cell of would-be jihadists, filming them with a hidden camera as they plotted an attack in the name of the Islamic State group, before they were arrested, he said.
The journalist, a Muslim using the pseudonym Said Ramzi, carried out the investigation for a documentary entitled “Allah’s Soldiers” which gives an insight into the minds of young jihadists, and will be shown in France on Monday night.
