2007 Ajmer blast: Swamy Aseemanand and others acquitted, 3 convicted, by NIA court

As many as 13 people had been charges for the blast in Ajmer in 2007.The blast was allegedly caused to stir communal disharmony, riots, and disturbances in the country.The NIA took over the investigation from the Rajasthan ATS on April 1, 2011.


Absconding Muslim man Accused in professor hand-chopping case surrenders in court

An accused belonging to Popular Front of India Islamic outfit in the 2010 Kerala college professor T. J. Joseph
's hand-chopping case surrendered before a special NIA court here today. The court sent Sajil to judicial custody, NIA sources said, adding that they will seek his custody for interrogation.Sajil had been absconding since 2010 after the attack on Thodupuzha New Man College professor T J Joseph for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through a question paper he had set.
